Leaving the ranch in Ortahisar your ride takes you through Green Valley with its fascinating rock formations, local orchards, and traditional vineyards. We continue to the spectacular lush secluded canyon of Uzengi, where abrupt rock walls shelter troglodytic citadels of dovecotes. Enjoy the hidden natural mineral spring and meandering streams before riding through the beautiful Pancarlik and Kepez Valleys, with their multicolored rock formations, rock tunnels, and carved churches. We take in the magnificent panorama of Uchisar rock castle on our return.

6-hour (Full day) Horseback Riding Tour:

Our full-day rides include many of the famous sites and valleys of Cappadocia, as well as those more secluded and fascinating valleys that make this region so beautifully unique. For guests looking for more of a riding adventure, this ride takes you through Green Valley with its fascinating rock formations, local orchards, and traditional vineyards. We explore the spectacular secluded canyon of Uzengi, where abrupt rock walls shelter troglodytic citadels of dovecotes, and the hidden natural mineral springs and meandering streams give the valley a surprising lushness. we follow winding natural trails to Pancarlik and Kepez Valleys, with their multicolored rock formations, rock tunnels, and carved churches. We enjoy a local picnic lunch in the valleys surrounded by walls of soft colorful rock, where the horses can rest and graze. In the afternoon, we will continue over rolling hills of white tufa leading you up to the traditional stone-carved Turkish village of Babayan where we meander the narrow village streets before making our way through the rocky labyrinths, and carved cliffs to the magnificent panorama of Uchisar rock castle on our return.

Our ranch is in beautiful Ortahisar in the heart of the National Park so your trail will take you firstly through the Green Valley with its succession of fascinating rock formations, local orchards, and traditional vineyards before exploring the stunning and unique Valley of Pancarlik with its multi-colored rock formations and frescoed churches. We return through the famous Cappadocian ‘fairy chimneys’ and our relaxed riding pace will ensure you have plenty of time for some memorable photo opportunities.

1-hour Horseback Riding Tour:

Highlights: Ortahisar Valley – Green Valley – Hospital Monastery

Our 1-hour horse ride is a wonderful chance to explore the beautiful unique Cappadocian landscape. We ride on trails that wind through amazing rock formations and spectacular ‘fairy chimneys’ in some of the most beautiful valleys in Cappadocia. This ride takes us through the Green Valley with its’ local apricot orchards, traditional vineyards, and steppe-like landscape with the chance to explore the Byzantine beauty of the rock-hewn Hallacdere (Hospital) monastery. This itinerary takes place entirely within the national park so you have many beautiful photo opportunities.

30-minute Beginners Tour:

This tour takes you through the nearby Cappadocian landscape for a gentle fully supervised horse ride. Excellent training opportunity for children or for those that have not ridden before. An opportunity to familiarize yourself with the horses as well as receive basic horse ride training. The horses will be on a lead.
